We did it! ... we found a place to live!!

... took 4 months and it turned out that we didn´t end up far from where we started (see previous post!)

Shepherds Bush will be our neighborhood at least for the next year :)

Adjusting to London´s busy life and a new job is proving to be quite a challenge.

Family matters...

Happy father´s day!!!  I have the best mum&dad in the WORLD and I bet you do too! ... So a month after we celebrated our Mums being so lovely! ... we are thanking our Dads for being plain cool ;) 

How about brothers&sisters? ... when are we celebrating that day!? ... in my case it could be any day of the week!! Grazz, Wills and Georg are my three Guardian Angels and I love them to bits!

I am borrowing this entire post from my friend Charly! (some text included) ... I love what she has to say about her car!! I miss our poor little one. It had to stay back in Spain and we are not sure what we are doing about it :(

Madrid...

Just got back from a very short visit to Madrid ... it was actually an errands trip and I feel a bit bad I could not contact and see everyone...  though I am grateful for the little time I got to spend with some of my mates ;) 

A huge thanks to Titi&Alberto and Abir&Alberto who let me stay with them a couple of days each!  (you guys are the best!).  With Abir, I had such a lovely time, we were both in the same kind of mood... we went to the cinema to watch Midnight in Paris, did a lot of catching-up and ate lots and lots of chocolate ;) ... by the way! ... don´t you just love this cushion she has on her sofa!?...

Anyway, I hope to be back soon with a bit more time to make proper plans with everyone :) 

 

Madrid will always have a special place in our heart! But visiting made me realise that our choice to come back to the UK was exactly what we needed and wanted!!

All these lovely images of houses we keep saving into our hard drives, sharing with others and classifying as "inspiration"... what do they really do for us!? ...  what makes a space alluring?  Is it the light, the ceilings, the gorgeous floor boards? (we think so!)...  Or do you think it is the amazing furniture, the cool flea market finds, the beautiful lamps and art? ... a bit of both, maybe!? ... And talking of furniture, is there is a formula? ... are you starting to think (like us) that stuff out there feels (and looks)  a bit predictable?... has too much inspiration left us uninspired? 

I think I have a bad case of "pretty images overload" so I am going to try and change my approach to my "imagery consumption" ... change the glass from which I see things! .... It might be a while before I find something to share on this space, but it is ok! ... there is PLENTY out there anyway  ... wish me luck on my quest!! xxx lots of love G.
